Leather V-Bomber Jacket - Genuine Leather V Bombers for Men and Women

The V-bomber is what you buy when a plain bomber feels too flat and a biker jacket feels too heavy. At Elvora we make leather V-bomber jackets to order in full-grain, top-grain, and lambskin hide, with the V panel cut and stitched by hand so the lines stay clean and symmetrical. Black leather V-bomber, burgundy or teal fur-collar V-bombers, varsity-style V-panel jackets - the range covers the style in real leather rather than a printed lookalike.

What Is a Leather V-Bomber Jacket?

A leather V-bomber is a bomber jacket with a V-shaped yoke or panel at the chest or back. It keeps everything that makes a bomber wearable - the ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem, the front zip, the fitted-but-not-tight cut - and adds a panel line that gives the jacket a stronger visual identity than a plain bomber has.

The V panel comes from varsity and letterman jacket construction, which is why leather V-bombers and leather varsity jackets often look related. If you searched for a V-bomber leather jacket, a leather jacket with V detail, or a leather varsity bomber, you are looking at the same silhouette described three ways.

Why the V Panel Is Harder to Make Well

A plain bomber is forgiving. A V-bomber is not. The V is the first thing anyone looks at, so any asymmetry between the left and right side, or any wobble in the seam line, is immediately visible. That is a pattern-cutting and stitching problem, not a materials problem, and it is where mass-produced versions usually fall down.

We cut the V panel by hand and stitch the seam with extra care because there is nowhere to hide a mistake on this style. Every jacket is checked for V symmetry before it is packed.

The Leather We Use

Full-Grain Leather

The strongest and most natural layer of the hide. Full-grain V-bombers develop a patina over time and last 20 to 30 years with basic care. Best choice if you want the jacket to age into something with character.

Top-Grain Leather

Lightly sanded for a cleaner, more even surface. Top-grain gives a sharper, more uniform finish, which suits the bold panel lines of the V design well.

Lambskin Leather

Soft, smooth, and light. Lambskin V-bombers are popular with buyers who want the look without the weight of heavier hide, and they drape well on a fitted bomber cut.

Every hide is checked by hand before cutting.

Ribbing, Lining, and Hardware

The ribbed knit at the collar, cuffs, and hem is the part of a bomber that fails first when it is made cheaply - it stretches out and stops holding shape, and then the jacket sits badly no matter how good the leather is. We use quality ribbed knit and check its recovery before it goes on a jacket. Linings are stitched smooth, and every zip and snap is tested.

Fit and Sizing

Bombers are cut closer through the body than a biker jacket, with the ribbing pulling in at the waist. Measure your chest at the fullest point and your shoulders seam to seam, then check the size guide on the product page. If you want to wear a hoodie underneath, take one size up. Sizes run XS through 5XL, and free custom sizing is available on every product.

How to Wear It

A black leather V-bomber with jeans and trainers is the easy version and works most days. Coloured V-bombers and fur-collar styles carry more weight visually, so keep the rest of the outfit plain and let the jacket do the work. The bomber length also sits well over a hoodie, which a shorter biker cut does not always manage.

Why Buy from Elvora™

Genuine Leather, Precise Panel Work

Real leather throughout, with the V panel cut and stitched by hand for clean, symmetrical lines. PU versions of this style tend to show crooked panel seams and ribbing that gives out inside a season.

Caring for a Leather Bomber

Wipe the leather with a dry cloth after wearing and apply conditioner every 3 to 6 months. Keep conditioner off the ribbed knit. Store on a wide hanger in a breathable bag, away from radiators and direct sunlight. Never machine wash. If the ribbing gets damp, let it dry flat rather than hanging so it does not stretch out.

FAQs

Are these real leather V-bomber jackets?
Yes. Every jacket uses genuine full-grain, top-grain, or lambskin leather. No PU, no bonded leather.

What makes a V-bomber different from a normal bomber?
The V-shaped yoke or panel at the chest or back. Everything else - ribbed collar, cuffs, hem, front zip - is standard bomber construction.

Is a V-bomber the same as a varsity jacket?
They share the V-panel construction. A varsity jacket usually uses contrasting sleeve colours and a snap front, while a V-bomber keeps the all-leather bomber build with a zip.

Do you make V-bombers for women?
Yes. Women's cuts and sizing are listed on each product page, and custom measurements are free.

Can I get a fur collar on a V-bomber?
Yes, several styles come with a fur collar. You can also request one as a custom build.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure chest and shoulders and compare with the product page size guide. Size up one step if you wear a hoodie underneath. Custom sizing is free.

Will the ribbing lose its shape?
Not quickly. We use quality ribbed knit and check its recovery before use. Let it dry flat rather than hanging if it gets damp.

Do you ship to the USA and UK?
Yes, free and tracked. Most orders arrive within 7 to 12 business days.

How long will it last?
The leather shell lasts 15 to 25 years with proper care. The ribbing is the part most likely to need attention first, and it can be replaced.

What is your return policy?
Returns accepted within the stated window. The jacket must be unworn and in original condition. Contact support for an exchange or refund.
